Mohammed Siraj hasn’t had the best of the time during the Border Gavaskar Trophy but the Indian pacer came back strongly during the 5th and final match of Border Gavaskar Trophy. Siraj took two crucial wickets of Travis Head and Sam Konstas to put pressure on Australia.
Siraj got the first wicket of the match by sticking to a persistent line outside the off stump and getting an edge off Konstas bat and was safely caught in the slip cordon. In the same over, Siraj got another edge this time from dangerous Travis Head that also carried in the slips, marking the 4th wicket for Aussies on just a score of 39.
After the two wickets, Steve Smith and Beau Webster forged an important 57 run partnership to prevent a melt down for their team. However, Australia lost another wicket as Smith at the stroke of Lunch session owing to almost an unplayable delivery from Prasidh Krishna.
