Infosys founder NR Narayana Murthy has reportedly purchased a second luxury apartment in Bengaluru’s prestigious Kingfisher Towers for Rs 50 crore. The 8,400-square-foot residence, located on the sixteenth floor, features four bedrooms and five dedicated car parking spaces.
At Rs 59,500 per square foot, the deal sets a new price benchmark in Bengaluru’s upscale commercial hub, as reported by The Times of India.
High-Profile Neighbors in Bengaluru’s Elite Address
Narayana Murthy purchased the apartment from a Mumbai-based businessman who owned it for nearly a decade, with the transaction facilitated by Sadhwani Real Estate Holdings.
Notably, this is not the first high-profile transaction in Kingfisher Towers—Sudha Murty, Narayana Murthy’s wife, had acquired a flat on the 23rd floor for Rs 29 crore four years ago. Other prominent residents include Biocon’s Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw and Rana George, son of Karnataka Minister KJ George.
Kingfisher Towers: A Landmark in Bengaluru’s Skyline
Kingfisher Towers is situated in the prime UB City area and comprises 81 luxury apartments across three blocks on a sprawling 4.5-acre site. The 34-story development offers residences averaging 8,321 square feet.
The property was developed in 2010 as a joint venture between the Prestige Group and Vijay Mallya’s company on land that formerly housed Mallya’s ancestral home. Apartments initially sold for Rs 22,000 per square foot, making Murthy’s recent purchase a significant appreciation in value.
